Knot Tying: Palomer Knot

The Palomer knot works very well when tying a hook or fly to a line or tippet.

Step 1. Create a U in the line.

Step 2. Pass the U through the eye of the hook.

Step 3. Create a loop in the line by crossing the U over the main line.

Step 4. Pull the U through the loop.

Step 5. Pull the U over the end of the hook.

Step 6. Pull the hook all the way through the U and begin to tighten it by pulling on the end of the line

Step 7. Pull the knot tight by pulling on the hook. Trim the end of the line.
